Brave Allyship in Practice

Uncomfortable Conversations: An Anti-Racism Series

This is a four-part group coaching programme for coaches who want to deepen their practice by engaging directly with anti-racism. Together, we will create a space to reflect, challenge ourselves, and explore the impact of racial bias in coaching and beyond.

We ask that you commit to all four online sessions, come having read The Good Ally by Nova Reid, and be prepared to enter conversations that may feel uncomfortable but are essential. These sessions are not about quick fixes or easy answers , they are about sustained reflection, honesty, and collective learning.

All profits will be donated to charity: Kids of Colour

Possible topics we will cover

  • Understanding ourselves as racist / becoming anti-racist

  • Navigating power, privilege, and identity when working with clients

About Jana:

Jana is a Leadership Coach (ILM7/EMCC) and Facilitator whose work is grounded in courageous leadership, inclusion, and collective growth.  As co-founder of The Group Coaching Academy, she has developed a particular passion for Group Coaching, creating spaces where people can explore in relation to others, connect, build trust and grow together with awareness, confidence and integrity.

Jana weaves equity and belonging into all aspects of her coaching and facilitation, continuing to focus on anti‑racist practice. She continues to engage in her own learning around power, privilege, and identity, integrating this awareness into her coaching and facilitation. She encourages clients and groups to meet complexity with compassion, curiosity, and courage.

Described as warm, direct, and playful, Jana brings both depth and humour to her work. Her core values of compassion, connection, and humour shape how she coaches, leads, and lives.

Beyond her professional life, Jana is a mum to one small human, living in South Manchester with her husband, dog, and roughly 150 (ish)houseplants, each of which, she insists, plays a vital role in her self‑care ecosystem.
