Live Online Session
Online Learning Event
This session is designed for coaches who want to deepen their confidence and competence in facilitating group coaching outside traditional indoor spaces. Together, we’ll explore how nature can become a co‑facilitator, a reflective partner, and a catalyst for deeper group connection.
You might wonder why a day about coaching in nature is being delivered online!
Outdoor coaching can be as much about orientation and intention as it is about geography and space. We will explore together in a digital space the core skills, models and coaching approaches, inviting nature into approach through metaphors, imagery and embodied practices that bring the outdoor spirit into our time together.
There will be opportunity to go outdoors within your own setting over the course of the day and bring with you reflections from some outdoor pre-work. Of course, you can follow-up in-person with delegates and colleagues too if you’d like to.
Delivering this way opens up access to the day, ensuring diverse attendance, reducing our overall carbon footprint and removes any potential pitfalls of weather in North West England!
We’re offering this day as your foundation to group coaching outdoors, the conceptual grounding and practical confidence to take groups outside with clarity and purpose. And yes, the irony of exploring outdoor coaching from our living rooms is not lost on us. In fact, it’s part of the conversation
✦ A live group coaching experience drawing on outdoor themes and nature as co-facilitator
✦ Paired coaching activities exploring space, movement and environment
✦ Practical models and theory that underpin outdoor coaching approaches
✦ Time to reflect, ask questions and apply ideas to your own context
✦ Optional pre-work to help you arrive ready to explore
By the end of the day: You’ll have a richer understanding of how to design and hold outdoor group coaching sessions — and a felt sense of what it’s like to be coached in this way.
Before you arrive: we’ll offer an opportunity to explore your own relationship with the outdoors ahead of a shared reflection and exploration of the impact this has for our own outdoor coaching practice.
This day is for practising coaches at any stage who are curious about working beyond four walls, whether you’re completely new to outdoor coaching or looking to bring more intentionality and structure to a practice you’ve already begun.
I'm Claire Bradshaw, coach, coaching supervisor and coach educator, someone who genuinely loves creating spaces where practitioners can pause, reflect and support one another. Ethical practice is at the heart of how I work, and I'll bring honesty, warmth, and curiosity to everything we explore together.
